csUnit is available under the the zlib/libpng license. The zlib/libpng license is very flexible. You can use csUnit's source code for open-source projects or for closed-source projects. You can include csUnit in your free product as well as in your commercial product. You choose! For further licensing details please see the license file that comes with the csUnit version you are using.

Prerequisites and Target Environment

csUnit requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 runtime environment. Please ensure that you have the latest service pack and security patches installed.

csUnit runs on Windows XP SP 2 and Windows Vista SP 1. It integrates with Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008. You can target .NET 2.0, .NET 3.0, and .NET 3.5.

csUnit has not been tested on 64bit platforms.

New In This Release

As this is a maintenance release there are no new features but the following bugfixes and one improvement of an existing feature:

csUnitVSWizard, SourceForge Tracker ID 1528508: Can't find Wizard.config.
No more CodeBase entry in the registry for COM-visible assemblies.

This release has been tested with VS.NET 2003 and .NET 1.1. If you need a version with support for .NET 2.0 please use version 2.1.2 or later.

If you uninstall csUnit 1.9.x, please verify whether wizards in VS.NET 2003 are still working. If this is not the case, please see the "csUnit Tools" section below for a repair tool.

csUnit has not been tested with any other .NET framework implementation, any other operating system, or any other programming language. csUnit may work on any of these technology stacks but you do so on your own risk!

csUnit Tools 1.0.0

In this section we provide tools which are not necessarily required for running csUnit.

Repair Tool for VS.NET 2003 wizards, in case they are broken after uninstalling csUnit 1.9.x. Note, that this tool requires .NET 1.1 to be installed on your system. This is typically the case if you have VS.NET 2003 installed.
- VsLangProjRegTLib.zip (contains only the executable, 11 kBytes)
- VsLangProjRegTLib.exe (no installer, runs directly, 46 kBytes)
- csUnit-Tools.1.0.0.source.zip (no installed, no binaries, sources only, 17 kBytes))
